Data Controller
As we are a small club and do not process large amounts of sensitive personal details, we are not required to
appoint a DPO. However, we still take your data protection seriously and the Club's Committee will be
responsible for ensuring that the Club maintains its obligations under GDPR. We will do this by constantly
reviewing this document and monitoring any changes in current legislation.
Collected Personal Data
We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, address, phone number, emergency contact details and communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback and personal profile. When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.
Purpose of Collecting Data
To store peoples' personal data, we need a Lawful Basis for doing so.
Our Lawful Basis is that we need some data in order to run a club in which you are a member or a guest, taking
part in the Club's activities.
We need to be able to contact you, so we use your email address in order to direct communication to you alone.
This is to send you details of your registration, to remind you (if you are a full member) about subscription and
event payments both due and overdue and to pass on general club news. We do not share your email address
with anyone else.
We use your gender information to ensure that we are observing the equal opportunities for both men and
women to join the club and to not discriminate between the two.
We store your Emergency Contact number so that we can contact someone should
you have an accident whilst taking part in a Club activity.
We store your phone number so that we can contact you if we have any difficulty reaching you by email.
We store your post code and house number, but we do not normally send you postal mail, unless
specifically requested. Your address would only be used for communication if either email or
telephone failed.

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our membership packages to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our club adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
