Events Calendar
Our events will be categorised as follows:-
Red Anyone can RSVP to these events, which will be held on a Saturday, in a closed road environment such as Richmond Park. These events will be hosted to give beginner members an opportunity to come along and learn some basics about group riding and the signals used. You will also be able to ask any questions you may have regarding bikes, equipment or kit.
Orange A social ride over a distance of 20-35 miles/32-56 km.
These events will be hosted on Sundays, for full paying members of the club.
Yellow A steady ride over a distance of 35-50 miles/56-80 km.
These events will be hosted on Sundays, for full paying members of the club.
Green An intermediate ride over a distance of 50-65 miles/80-104 km.
These events will be hosted on Sundays, for full paying members of the club.
Blue An advanced ride over a distance of 65+ miles/104+ km.
These events will be hosted on Sundays, for full paying members of the club.
Indigo Any ride not organised by HWCC, such as a sportive or audax.
Violet A social event or meeting.
Ideally we would have a group of each category out cycling every weekend. Although, initially as we are a newly founded club, the plan will be to have at least one group ride per category each month. So as a member you would be certain of at least one monthly ride at a distance that suits you best.
Of course, the best way to ensure that we can have more rides in each category, is to attract more members and for people to volunteer to captain our club rides, so spread the word. Tell your friends that we exist and encourage them to join us on this journey.
