Red - Beginners

When:- Saturday 2nd November 2024, meet at 09.45am for a 10.00am depart. We will be departing promptly at 10.00am.

Where:- We meet at Colicci Café, near Roehampton Gate in Richmond Park, SW15 5JP. For those that use the What3Words app, the meeting point is ///seats.tunes.hoping.

We will have a chat about your cycling experience and we will try to explain the various calls and signals used. We will do some practice rides on some of the quieter roads in the park. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding bikes, kit or equipment.

Please bring two water bottles, snacks, cash/cards for coffee, lights, a pump, Allen keys/multi-tool and at least one spare inner tube.

Please note, these sessions are not formal training sessions and are not provided as such. They are more general conversations and passing on tips and experience we have.

ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR A HELMET - THIS IS REQUIREMENT OF OUR BRITISH CYCLING INSURANCE, AND WE CANNOT ALLOW ANYONE WITHOUT A HELMET TO JOIN OUR RIDES.

MEMBERS ARE REMINDED THAT PARTICIPATION OF ANY HWCC EVENT IS AT THE MEMBER’S SOLE RISK.

Hampton Wick Cycling Club is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers. We are an affiliated club with British Cycling and try to cater for all levels of cyclists. For the payment of your annual subscription you get access to great weekly rides of varying levels, club discounts, holidays, and social meetups.
